We are working on planning a Celebration of Dad's Life Service. We are working on some logistic issues and will have the service information posted some time tomorrow, hopefully early afternoon.
Thank you for your continued support, love and emails/posts.
I also want to take this opportunity to publically express our deep gratitude to both the professional and medical staff at the Victoria Hospital and the St. Boniface Hospital, the paramedics, the Fire/Rescue squad and the stranger who helped direct the paramedics to mom. Their efforts were nothing less then remarkable and admirable.

Jack was a wonderful cousin and friend, so friendly and so alive. A little over a year ago, he MCd the sharing at Tim's funeral. My heart goes out to you all, and I pray that you will truly feel the love of God and all of us around you as you mourn this great loss.

Jack was a wonderful person and a great Broadcaster. I enjoyed working with him and was privileged to call him a friend. He will be truly missed.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers go out to Marilyn and the rest of his family that he was so proud off.

I just read the news and it is hard to believe that Jack is no longer with us. I wish all his family God's healing and comfort during this difficult time. I've worked with Jack at both Radio Southern Manitoba and at CJOB, and every now and then, I'd hear that familiar "Horamshe" (low German "Harms" female) bellow across the room, as his precious grandchildren and my son go to Linden Christian School. I will miss that, as Jack always brought a smile to my face (and helped me out with LOTS of technical problems!)Rest in peace my friend, I'm sure you're having a ball up there in heaven, it's just hard for the loved ones left behind. My prayers are with Colleen and family, and please accept my deepest condolences.

Love, prayers and sorrow in our hearts for all of you. Love, Yvonne and Gord xoxo
ReplyDeleteI was stunned with feelings of sadness and loss this evening when I learned of Jack's passing. Jack was my mentor during my fifteen years or so working at Golden West Broadcasting, both at CFAM and at CKSW. His guidance and influence helped me form personal values that remain with me today, more than twenty years later.
ReplyDeleteWe offer our deepest condolences to you Marilyn, Colleen and Grant, and your families.

ReplyDeleteI just read of your Dad's passing and I'm very saddened by the news. I worked with Jack at Corus Entertainment and he was a wonderful, caring man who, despite being always so busy, took a few minutes out of his day to chat with me about co-workers in Toronto so that I stayed connected with old friends. My prayers go out to you and your family. Jack was a legend and will be missed by many.

Uncle Jack was a charismatic man who leaves a wonderful legacy. He impacted so many through his work, the church, and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you now and in the coming days.

ReplyDeleteI’ve tried several times to write a comment .... hopefully I’ll get through it this time, without getting too choked up. Jack was such a Good Man! In addition to being a great guy to work with, he was just such a Great Human Being. He really cared about people! My family will always be indebted to him for his prayers and support during some of our tough times. Jack was always there as his compassionate and caring self. We’ll always have a special place in our hearts for my Friend Jack. Please accept our deepest condolences from the Coldwell family.

I had the privilege of spending some time with Jack during his time in Filadelfia, in the Chaco of Western Paraguay. What a servant of God he was, and only eternity will know the results of his willing service. I was surprised to hear of his death, but blessed by having known him.
